Supplements I Take: Health, Weight Loss, Hair, and Overall Wellness
In today’s fast-paced world, maintaining optimal health can be a challenge. With busy schedules, unhealthy food choices, and increasing stress levels, many individuals are looking for additional ways to boost their health and well-being. One approach that has gained popularity and attention is the use of dietary supplements. In this article, I’ll share the supplements I take to support my health, aid in weight loss, promote healthy hair, and enhance my overall wellness.
1. Health Supplements
Multi-Vitamins
The foundation of my supplement regimen begins with a high-quality multi-vitamin. Even with a balanced diet, there are often gaps in our nutrient intake. A multi-vitamin provides a broad spectrum of vitamins and minerals that support immune function, energy production, and overall health. I choose one that contains essential nutrients such as vitamin D, B vitamins, zinc, and magnesium.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Omega-3 fatty acids are crucial for maintaining heart health, brain function, and reducing inflammation. I typically take fish oil supplements to ensure I’m getting a sufficient dose of EPA and DHA. For those who prefer plant-based options, algae oil is a great alternative that provides similar benefits without the fishy aftertaste.
Probiotics
Having a healthy gut is essential for overall wellness. I incorporate a probiotic supplement into my routine to promote gut health, enhance digestion, and strengthen the immune system. Probiotics play a vital role in balancing the gut microbiome and can help alleviate digestive issues.
2. Weight Loss Supplements
Green Tea Extract
Green tea extract is well-known for its metabolism-boosting properties. I take a green tea extract supplement to support my weight loss goals and increase energy levels. Rich in antioxidants, green tea can also help reduce inflammation and improve heart health.
Garcinia Cambogia
Often marketed as a natural weight loss aid, Garcinia Cambogia may help to suppress appetite and reduce fat storage. I take this supplement alongside a balanced diet and exercise program to give me that extra edge in my weight loss journey. However, it’s essential to consult with a healthcare professional before incorporating any new supplement.
3. Hair Health Supplements
Biotin
Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, is often hailed as a miracle worker for hair, skin, and nails. I take a biotin supplement to promote hair growth and improve the overall health of my locks. Biotin supports the production of keratin, which is vital for healthy hair, making it a staple in my supplement routine.
Collagen
Collagen is a protein that plays a significant role in the structure of our hair, skin, and nails. I opt for a collagen peptide supplement, which is easy to digest and can be added to smoothies or coffee. Collagen not only strengthens hair but also enhances skin elasticity and hydration.
4. Overall Wellness Supplements
Ashwagandha
Managing stress is crucial for overall wellness. I incorporate ashwagandha, an adaptogenic herb, into my regimen to help combat stress and promote relaxation. This ancient herb can enhance mood and support adrenal function, making it a valuable addition to my wellness toolkit.
Vitamin C
To further support my immune system, I take vitamin C supplements. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that aids in the prevention of oxidative stress and supports overall immune health. Additionally, it plays a role in collagen synthesis, contributing to healthy skin and hair.
Final Thoughts
While dietary supplements can provide an extra boost to health, weight loss, and beauty, it’s essential to remember that they should complement a healthy diet and lifestyle rather than replace them. Consulting with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement is crucial to ensure they fit well within your individual health needs.
In my journey toward better health and wellness, these supplements have made a positive impact, helping me feel my best from the inside out. By prioritizing nutrition and self-care, I aim to achieve not only my health goals but also a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.

Thanks so much , very informative and right on time . I've been on the search for new supplements. P.S. You're like the older sister I never had ❤
Vitamin D3
I think you can ingest too many unnecessary supplements. The only people winning are the pharmaceutical and natural supplement companies. I go back to what my mom did as a naturalist and we were never sick. Clean foods nothing packaged home cooking. No sugar, a daily shot of a cocktail of lemons, ginger, turmeric, garlic and a diet very close to the mediterrean diet and lots of fresh air. We also used real salt from the ocean full of all the minerals our body needs, no need for expensive electrolyte drinks from LMNT. These supplements must cost you $400 a month or more. People just cannot afford this.
At night, I take Magnesium. Vitamin D3/K2, and Zinc. All of these will help relax the muscles and get a better sleep. In the morning, I take trace minerals, electrolytes and Cod Liver Oil pills from Dr. Berg. I get most of my vitamins from food. B vitamins from Nutritional Yeast. Vitamin C from Organic Sauerkraut. It's good for gut health too
Can you do one of the kind of syrups, sugars, and other condiments, or salsas, alfredo, tortillas, low fat cheeses, milk, etc you use?
I was going bald with thinning hair. Youtheory collagen turned so much around.
Thanks’
