17 Supplements That Are Actually Worth Taking for Fat Loss and More
In the quest for fat loss, many individuals turn to dietary supplements to boost their efforts. While a balanced diet and regular exercise remain the cornerstones of any weight-loss strategy, certain supplements can complement these efforts, enhancing metabolism, appetite control, and overall health. Here’s a guide to 17 supplements that have shown promise in supporting fat loss and delivering other health benefits.
1. Protein Powder
Benefits: Protein is essential for muscle repair and growth, and incorporating a protein supplement can help maintain muscle mass while losing fat. It also promotes satiety, which can reduce overall calorie intake.
Types: Whey, casein, plant-based (pea, rice, hemp).
2. Creatine
Benefits: Known primarily as a performance enhancer, creatine can also aid in muscle preservation during a calorie deficit, improving strength and recovery. Enhanced muscle mass can lead to a higher resting metabolism.
3. Green Tea Extract
Benefits: Rich in catechins and caffeine, green tea extract has been shown to increase fat oxidation and may enhance metabolic rate, thereby aiding in weight loss.
4. Caffeine
Benefits: A well-known stimulant, caffeine boosts energy levels and can enhance workout performance. It also promotes fat oxidation and increases metabolism.
Sources: Coffee, tea, and caffeine supplements.
5. Glucomannan
Benefits: This natural fiber supplement can absorb water in your stomach, promoting a feeling of fullness and potentially reducing calorie intake.
6. L-Carnitine
Benefits: This amino acid helps transport fatty acids into cells for energy production. Some studies suggest it may aid in fat loss, particularly when combined with exercise.
7. CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)
Benefits: CLA may help reduce body fat by increasing the rate of fat metabolism and decreasing body fat storage. Its effects are modest but can be beneficial when combined with a healthy lifestyle.
8. Fish Oil (Omega-3 Fatty Acids)
Benefits: Omega-3s can support overall health, reduce inflammation, and may help in fat loss by improving insulin sensitivity, which is crucial for fat metabolism.
9. Apple Cider Vinegar
Benefits: While research is mixed, some studies suggest that apple cider vinegar can help with appetite control and improve blood sugar levels, potentially aiding in weight loss.
10. Fiber Supplements
Benefits: Increasing fiber intake can enhance satiety, regulate digestion, and promote a healthy gut microbiome. Psyllium husk and inulin are popular choices.
11. Probiotics
Benefits: A healthy gut microbiome is linked to better metabolism and weight regulation. Probiotic supplements can help support gut health, influence fat storage, and improve overall digestion.
12. B Vitamins
Benefits: B vitamins are essential for energy metabolism. Adequate levels can help improve energy production and reduce fatigue during fat-loss efforts.
13. Chromium Picolinate
Benefits: Some studies suggest that chromium may help improve insulin sensitivity and reduce cravings for carbohydrates, potentially aiding in fat loss.
14. Rhodiola Rosea
Benefits: This adaptogenic herb may help your body adapt to stress, which can be beneficial as stress often leads to emotional eating and weight gain.
15. Bitter Orange (Citrus Aurantium)
Benefits: This supplement contains synephrine, which may help increase metabolism and assist in fat burning. However, it should be used cautiously due to potential side effects.
16. Vitamin D
Benefits: Low levels of vitamin D are linked to obesity and metabolic issues. Supplementation may improve overall health, support fat loss, and enhance workout performance.
17. Zinc
Benefits: Essential for numerous biological functions, zinc may support hormone regulation, including testosterone, which plays a role in muscle maintenance and fat metabolism.
Conclusion
While supplements can assist in fat loss and enhancing overall health, they’re not a magic solution. The foundation of a healthy weight-loss journey is a balanced diet and a consistent exercise routine. Before starting any new supplement regimen, it’s crucial to consult with a healthcare professional, especially if you have existing health conditions or are taking medication. Remember, the right approach to fat loss is one that incorporates a holistic view of health and well-being.

How to buy a good multivitamin?
Charles Poliquen …Ha, nice to hear him being recognized. He was truly one of the greats. He even taught himself Russian so he can translate Russian training, diet periodicals from their Olympic teams.. Brilliant & amazing guy. Thanks Tom
In life, those choices that seemingly appear to be hard in the beginning, in the end really turn out to be easy, and those choices that seemingly appear to be easy in the beginning, in the end really turn out to be hard.
Making the right choice always is never the easy choice.
l-Carnitine, not even a mention
Just EXCELLENT! Thanks — much appreciated…
Thank you! Sometimes it's really nice to go over supplements and the best ones to grab! Thank you also for all the links to the studies behind them. It's awesome to have access to the research behind everything.

Oh I was expecting TMG on this list. Thanks
Wish you can give us which brands to buy.. so much our there.
I would recommend Rhodiola Rose.
I do omad with a 1hr window can I take multiple of these and a multi?
Eat a healthy diet. Drink plenty of water. Exercise regularly. Sleep. You’re welcome.
Why take quercetin? Just stop eating the foods giving you problems. Again, go Carnivor.
If you need a multi vitamin or supplements, you already have a diet devoid of nutrients.
Just go Carnivor and you don't need ANY of these supplements.
Thank you much, for sure.
L carnitine?
But most importantly can you tell us what steroids you are taking, because they are the reasons for your results and not the supplements.
Surprised you didn't mention ashwaghanda considering the studies on muscle enhancement
Yohimbe is super amazing too at least for me
How much cod liver oil should u take?
Am I missing a link for the supplements he recommends/where to purchase?
It's worth noting with Lion's Maine that there are increasing anecdotal reports of people having severe life changing negative reactions to it. Proceed with caution on that one. Personally I don't think it's worth the risk.

Wish you had a store front of things you have recommended
I was having lucid dreams from day one of taking magnesium l-threonate. I don't think the blood brain barrier claims are sketchy at all.
I would like to see you do a video on some of the highest quality supplement companies? When I owned a gym many moons ago, I sold supplements of various brands and to find out which ones yielded the best results, I sold them at cost to a group of 5 dedicated gym goers to find out which brands of the same supplement worked and which ones didn’t. It was very helpful as we generally all would see similar results from the same brands and no results from certain other brands.
Some of your videos say glycinate, others say threonate… which do u take 😭
SoO funny. Except for Vitamin D and Magnesium this guy leaves out so many fantastic natural supplements for these trendy supplements (mostly used to help bodybuilders)
Maybe that’s his thing not sure but for general good health and disease prevention man he left out almost all of them
Did you rally suggest cordyceps? No thanks, I saw that show/video game!😅
Ive found like food, vitamins can be good but also bad for some people, experiment, ❤
With these supplements how do they affect the kidneys I recently had a large stone removed and I don't want to do that again
Can someone explain which from this list will break a fast? Thanks!
I would also add L Citrulline
We just gonna walk past him saying he lost hair from tongkat ali😭. Still open to it though. Any opinions?
I’m too stupid to understand what he’s saying 😂
Good stuff!
